We are a group of Kenyon students participating in a sociology course entitled “Borders and Border Crossing” in the Spring of 2017. We are embarking on a week-long travel seminar to the southern borderlands of Arizona (USA) and Sonora (Mexico). This experiential component of our learning will allow us to more fully develop our understanding of the conversations we have had in our class, which have focused on the border crossing experience, immigration policy, and our cultural orientation toward the issue. We will utilize this blog to document and share our experience.
